Wood Coffee Table with Metal Base 

Capture the magnificence of the Pacific Northwest and bring it hearthside in a custom wood and metal coffee table that is built to last as long as the landscape that inspired it. We begin with three planks of solid timber, grain running through shades from the pale gold of the first morning coffee to the deepest char of a late night whiskey, and seal it under high-gloss epoxy. Rooted in the Japanese tradition of Shou Sugi Ban, meaning “burned cedar boards,” our wood is charred to build a carbon layer that stands up to fire, rot, insects, pests, and UV damage. Built for rooms that see real use, a solid,  riveted steel frame sits cross-braced beneath, anchoring the room with the same permanence as the mountain range outside our workshop door.

Three Finishes, One Timber

Make your selection from three wood finishes, each one drawing something different from the grain. 

• Honey pulls the warmth of gold brown and cherry ember tones from the timber, bright and rich brightening any room it where it is at the center
•  Blackout burn takes the torch further, charring the surface to a deep, crackling black that holds the grain like topography under dark water. 
• Partial burn follows the movement of the flame across the surface, the result resembling earth touched by shifting forest light, amber and shadow blending together in a one-of-a-kind pattern

Each piece is sealed under a layer of high-gloss epoxy, deepening dimension and grandeur of the wood, and holding well beyond your legacy.

The Steel Beneath

Finish the steel in a shadowy satin black or satin clear coat for the look of chilled, river-worn stone. Rivets are set in uniform rows across every joint that are both  industrial in origin and rustic in their character.
